DYE ALL THE COLORS! Working in the Fiber Arts was not a path I saw in my life, but I have always been into the arts. I taught music in public schools for 10 years prior to the evolution of Yarn Baby. When I became a mom, spending more time with my little people became a high priority and I went from teaching full-time to part-time to stop teaching all together.
Then entered the YARN! My babies only liked blankies made of yarn, so I started calling them my little “Yarn Babies” -- thus the name of my shop. Now my boys are little fiber experts preferring blankets made with bamboo and/or silk so they “feel cold.” They know their fibers! :-)
I started with crochet, then took a spinning class, started dyeing roving (for my own use) and then fell head over heels in love with dyeing yarn. So here I am…spinning, dyeing and selling yarn. RADICAL!

Sometimes you need to keep your ears warm. Sometimes you need to keep your lovely locks out of your face. Sometimes you just want to rock a headband!
This pattern is simple enough for a beginner crocheter.
The headband is tapered at the back so it can be worn over or under your hair. The flower is optional, but the pattern does include instructions for how to make the Wallflower - which begins with a magic circle which isn't a beginner technique, but a link to an instructional video is included in the pattern. If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
