Linen Stitch creates a beautiful, textured fabric with an almost woven appearance. While it can be a slower stitch pattern to knit, the finished look is well worth the effort, especially when worked with multi-colored yarns.
Begin by casting on an odd number of stitches, and be sure to slip all slipped stitches purlwise.
Row 1 (RS): Sl1, *yb, k1, yf, sl1. Repeat from * across.
Row 2 (WS): P1, *yb, sl1, yf, p1. Repeat from * across.
Repeat these two rows to continue the pattern.
