Fitting Knit Fabrics (10:57)
The Palmer/Pletsch method can help you get a great fit. Meet Palmer/Pletsch founder Pati Palmer and her daughter, fashion designer Melissa Watson, then review fit considerations for different types of knits as you choose fabric for your next sewing project.

Tissue-Fitting Essentials (10:28)
Melissa explains the Palmer/Pletsch method and how you can add key adjustment lines to any pattern. Learn how to choose the correct pattern size and prepare your tissue pieces for fitting by marking seam lines and reinforcing with tape.

Fitting a Basic Tee (38:31)
Melissa tests a basic T-shirt pattern on Pati and shows how to mark needed adjustments. You’ll learn how to alter pattern pieces to modify armholes, bust, side seams and more. A second tissue fitting helps you further refine the pattern. A fabric fitting helps you check overall balance.

Fitting a Wrap Top (22:37)
For tailored knit garments that really fit, discover how to use pin-fitting to make perfect adjustments before constructing seams. Then press your seams using Pam’s tips to prevent shine and unwanted creases for refined results. Pam will also offer several elegant seam finishes to consider.

Fitting Knit Pants (24:47)

Pati Palmer & Melissa Watson

Pati Palmer is a pattern designer and sewing instructor with more than 37 years of experience. She has designed more than 200 patterns for The McCall Pattern Company, and she’s the author of 10 sewing books. Pati taught sewing seminars throughout North America and Australia for 15 years before establishing the Palmer/Pletsch International School of Sewing in Portland, Oregon. Melissa Watson is Pati’s daughter, so it’s no surprise that her love of fashion and sewing can be traced all the way back to childhood. Melissa designed a line of print fabrics for Springs Creative and co-designed the DIY Line for McCall’s. Soon after that, she began designing for the Palmer/Pletsch line at McCall’s creating patterns that appeal to the next generation of sewers.

How will I receive my DVD class?
Your class DVD will be shipped in the mail using the address you provide at checkout. You will not have streaming access to this class in your Craftsy Account unless you purchase(d) it separately. If you’d like to own this class in BOTH on-demand streaming form and DVD, we recommend you purchase that combination item on Craftsy.com.

Will the companion materials come with my DVD class?
Any downloadable class PDF materials are not included on the DVD, so you will not have access to those materials. Do your DVDs work on international players?
Yes, our DVDs should be compatible with any DVD player in use today. All our videos have been created with all current Region Codes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8). If you have trouble viewing a DVD purchased from Craftsy.com, please contact Customer Service.

What is your return policy?
We want to be sure you’re satisfied. If you have trouble playing your DVD, if the content is not correctly presented on the DVD, or you are dissatisfied with the content of your class, we will work with you. Contact Craftsy Customer Service via email or phone. Upon your request, and upon your return of the DVD to us, we will refund your purchase price or send you another DVD to replace a damaged or incorrect DVD, whichever is your preference.
