Your Instructors
Laura Nelkin lives in upstate New York, where the sunny season is short, leaving plenty of time for knitting indoors. Though she has a degree in apparel design, she took to knitting years ago and hasn’t looked back. Today, she finds herself fascinated with beads and lace. Laura teaches all over the country, runs mystery knit-alongs and has her own line of knitting kits and self-published patterns. You can find them online, as well as in her book, “Knockout Knits.”
Anna Dalvi
Anna Dalvi has published knitting patterns for the Web since 2007 and is the author of five knitting books, with subjects ranging from lace shawls to fingerless gloves. In her own knitting, she enjoys variety above all other things, treating knitting as an exciting exploration of texture and color. Anna loves traveling the world as an instructor, teaching at stores, retreats and mystery knit-alongs.
Romi Hill
Romi Hill lives on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains in northern Nevada, where the high desert nights are cool and the air is clear and crisp. A lifelong crafter and knitter, she’s inspired by the surroundings in her corner of the world, and her designs have an organic flow. Romi specializes in lace of all weights, and you can see her full pattern collection on Ravelry. Romi’s lace book from Interweave Press, “New Lace Knitting” was published in 2015 and features timeless patterns for garments and accessories. She loves dark chocolate with chili peppers and she’s a sucker for a great pair of cowboy boots.
Eunny Jang
Eunny Jang started knitting as a child, and has loved transforming raw materials into garments and accessories ever since. Her knitting blog, See Eunny Knit, documented her lace and other knitting adventures in the early days of knit blogging. She is also a past editor of Interweave Knits magazine, the founding editor of Knits Weekend and knit.wear magazines, and the past host of the PBS show Knitting Daily TV. Eunny’s love of knitting and immense knowledge of the craft make her lessons as engaging as they are enlightening.
Miriam Felton
Miriam Felton is the author of Twist & Knit, a master lace designer and a frequent instructor at conferences and shows. She started sewing as a toddler, added crochet when she was 8, cross stitching when she was 10, beading at 11, and knitting at 16.
