Hi, 1/2 yard did not work for me for the large pattern. I had to make the small one which came out very cute. Did I miss something on the large pattern? What did you mean by fat yard? I got 1/2 yard by 42″.
Hi Veronique! A fat 1/2 yard is basically a yard of fabric cut in 1/2 the opposite way that you’d usually do for a 1/2 yard (from un-salvaged edge to un-salvaged edge) which makes it “fat”. So for instance a normal yard of fabric measures 36″ x width of fabric. It is hard to get 2 smoochy lips in a 1/2 yard that is only 18″ wide (1/2 of 36″) is really hard but you CAN get a large pair of lips out of a piece of fabric that is cut in 1/2 the WIDTH of your fabric. It makes the piece of fabric more “fat” or square when you’re done and you can get larger pieces out of the same square inches of what a 1/2 yard of fabric would be! Does that make sense? 🙂

Hello everyone
I tried to add to the discussion but every time I tried I was kicked off the presentation.
I do know how to get rid of the fuzz from fuzzy fabric. Simply cut out your pattern and carefully carry the material to your dryer. Throw it all in the dryer and run it on low for 5 minutes. The lint collector will pull off all the fuzz and then remember to clean your lint collectors when you are done.
I love them! My favorite color!!
I’m new to learning how to sew and would love to try this as my first project!
