Crocheting the Rectangle
Start by chaining 16.Row 1: Sc in second st from hook and each st across (15 sc).
Rows 2 – 7: Ch 1 to turn, sc in each st across (15 sc).
Finish off and weave in ends. Now you have a basic rectangle (how easy was that?).
Forming the Bow
Cut a length of yarn to tie the bow in the center — 6″ is a good length for this particular bow, but you can definitely make it longer or shorter for a thicker or thinner wrap.
Wrap the yarn around the center of your rectangle and secure tightly with a knot. And just like magic, a bow is born.
Wrap both ends of yarn around the center of your bow until you’re almost out of yarn. Tie another knot (this should be on the back of your bow) to finish it off.
Weave in any remaining yarn ends. Now take a bow! (See what we did there?)
