Interesting uses for my scrap wood pile
BOO I love fun Halloween decorations
Ashley -wood crafting: can use pumpkin templates to make turkey feathers or cut one end at a peak and other end as pumpkin base. After cutting 6-8 pieces (depending on the size of the real pumpkin and how many feathers you desire) nail a long “finish” nail in one end. Paint base coat on feathers all sides (your choice of color). Paint design on feather: squiggly lines, dots, hollow circles, hashtags, leaves, anything on each feather. Make each feather different even different colors. Spray acrylic topcoat. Poke each feather into pumpkin in a staggered row across the top. Paint one more 6” pumpkin template piece brown after adding nail in end. Paint eyes, beak, and hanging waddel flap. Spray acrylic. Insert head on front side of pumpkin in front of feathers. Add triangle fabric as a kerchief around neck.
