Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You need to know how to operate your sewing machine and your iron. I don't teach basic quilting in this pattern, just the basic applique technique I use for the ducks and the layout for the quilt top.

Pattern Description:

When I am invited to a baby shower, I always bring a handmade gift. I don't always have the materials on hand to make one of my changing pad bags, but I do have gorgeous scrap fabrics for making these fun ducks. This quilt is such a fun project and works well for boys and girls.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 30 inches by 40 inches

  • 1 yard solid background fabric
  • 1 yard fabric for the back of the quilt
  • 15-5 inch squares of patterned fabrics for the ducks
  • 4 yards quilt binding or satin baby blanket binding.
  • 1 yard batting of your choice
  • 15- 5 inch squares of fusible stabilizer
  • 15 - 5 inch squares of tear away stabilizer

You Will Also Need:

  • non-permanent fabric marker
  • quilting pins
