Shopping may be the most fun part of sourcing materials for your upcycling adventure! What you find will be different from what I find, but there are tips and tricks that will apply across the board.
Oftentimes the cut of denim jeans goes out of fashion long before the fabric wears out, meaning there are usually TONS of jeans at the thrift store. The first project we are going to work on turns a pair of out-of-date skinny jeans into cute, flared jeans!
For the next project we are going to work on we will take another pair of jeans and a fabulous curtain panel from the thrift store and make a full and flowy boho skirt. This is another project that can be switched up a million ways depending on your personal taste, and available materials.
Whether you are snagging classic men’s dress shirts from the thrift store or wanting to get more use out of treasured garments from a loved one, it is quick and easy to make a women’s top out of three different shirts. You will also have leftover fabric for more projects later!
