It’s not often you see comfort food and quick-and-easy in the same sentence! When you imagine a comforting meal, thoughts of long simmering and slow roasting often arise. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Labor-intensive comforting meals are only satisfying once you sit down to enjoy them. And by then, you’re likely exhausted. In this mouthwatering class, we will make heart-warming, classic dishes that make it to the table in about 30 minutes. The ingredients in each recipe are readily available at your local grocery store, prep time is short, and the outcome is a hearty, wholesome meal the entire family will love.

In session one, we’ll make Chicken Piccata, a one-pan meal that features pan-fried chicken, a satiny lemon-butter sauce, capers, and sweet onions. In session two, we celebrate a favorite frozen dinner from yesteryear – Salisbury Steaks! These beef patties are seasoned with herbs and aromatics, caramelized on the outside, and simmered in a creamy, wine-infused, mushroom sauce. In session three, we shatter the concept of time-consuming lasagna and craft a Skillet Lasagna. This one-pan-meal delivers all the flavors you crave in lasagna, but with minimal effort. Session four features Steakhouse Beef and Noodles. This hearty dish boasts buttered noodles topped with seared steak, and a robust red wine gravy. No comfort food class is complete without Tuna Noodle Casserole! In session five, we uncover the secret to the ultimate tuna noodle casserole. A few ingredient additions and the easiest, most amazing cream sauce and you’ll be hooked. In session six, we celebrate another time-honored dish – Shepherd’s Pie. My version catapults the traditional dish by ensuring tender beef, perfectly cooked vegetables, and undeniably fluffy potatoes. Join me in the kitchen and let’s make some comfort food together.
