Jump right in and start sketching the head shape for your project. Lindee shows you how to easily cut the shape from medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and sand it smooth so it's ready for paint.
Continue working on the head shape by applying a spray coat. Then add in your first layer of shapes. And don't worry, there's a handy guide in your materials that walks you through the process.
Start forming your face by adding shapes to create specific features such as a nose, cheeks and jaw.
After you're done with the second layer, add a third layer of shapes to form more refined features such as eyebrows and highlights.
Lindee shows you how to attach hardware so you can hang your portrait, and paint the sides for a professional look. Plus, find out how to use paper pieces for a fun pop of color.
