In this session, Robin will give brief introduction of all the recipes made in this class.
We start with Fried Rice, the beloved Chinese restaurant staple. Even though the dish has “fried” in the name, it couldn’t be healthier. This version boasts fluffy rice, fresh eggs, and tender vegetables, all infused with garlic, ginger, soy, and sesame. The rice is toasty and perfectly seasoned, the veggies are sweet and colorful, and the eggs are moist and rich. Learn how to quickly create restaurant-quality fried rice at home – in under 30 minutes.
We’ll whip up Steak Street Tacos – perfectly juicy steak nestled onto soft tortillas and topped with onions, peppers, shredded Mexican cheese, and cilantro. And ditch store-bought marinade – my easy homemade version is delightfully smoky and has just enough sweetness to caramelize the exterior of the steak.
Seafood is next on the menu and we’re making Lemon Pepper Shrimp. We take plump shrimp, lace them with citrusy lemon pepper, sear them in butter, and then braise them in white wine. This dish is unbelievably mouth-watering, made with 5 ingredients, and ready in under 20 minutes. And yes, we use butter, but just enough for mouthfeel and flavor, not enough to be gluttonous.
The next recipe we’ll enjoy is Chicken Arrabbiata, because why should pasta have all the fun?! This spicy dish delivers moist, pan-seared chicken in a fiery, savory tomato sauce. Traditionally made with pasta, arrabbiata sauce makes an excellent braising sauce for chicken because it infuses tremendous flavor while keeping the meat moist.
The last dish in the class is Sheet Pan Gochujang Chicken, juicy chicken thighs that deliver the ultimate in sweet heat. Glazed with a fiery blend of Korean spices (and a few pantry staples), then roasted until caramelized and tender, they make the ideal, healthy weeknight meal, with practically zero clean-up!
