In this session, Brenda introduces us to the three projects we will be making in this class, the Corn Dog, Boba Bunny, and the Catburger. She discusses the supplies that you will need for this class and mentions that you can substitute another type of yarn instead of using the chenille yarn featured in these projects. She explains that she will be showing the step-by step instruction in a regular chunky weight acrylic yarn (as well as in the chenille yarn) so that you can clearly see the stitches that she is making.
Chenille yarn makes such adorable projects, but it can be a bit tricky to work with. In this session, Brenda shows us some tips and tricks for using chenille yarn to make your crocheting much easier.
In this session, Brenda walks us through the construction process for the Corn Dog amigurumi. She shows us how to crochet all the pieces as well as how to add the eyes, stuffing, and stick structure.
Brenda demonstrates how to assemble and finish the Corn Dog. You will learn how to sew the pieces together, how to add the embroidered features and how to add the blush.
In this lesson Brenda shows us how to crochet all the pieces of the Boba Bunny. We will learn how working into different parts of our stitches (under back loops OR front loops OR both loops) which helps us to achieve a desired shape. Brenda also shows us how to make an invisible join when fastening off, this makes the finished edge look neat and tidy.
Brenda shows us how to finish up this adorable project. She demonstrates how to add blush to the ears and seam them to the cup and shows us how to add embroidery for the face and boba pearls.
Brenda shows us, step by step, how to create each Catburger piece. This includes a great way to construct the cheese/lettuce/tomato/top bun in order to reduce the amount of sewing in the assembly process, and to make what little sewing needs to be done, a breeze!
Brenda shows us how to finish the Catburger in this session. She shows us how to sew the pieces together, and demonstrates how to add the embroidered features, blush, and sesame seed details.
