Meet Anne Berk! To start, you'll learn the benefits of combining colorwork techniques across your projects. Anne will also go over a quick review of charts to help when creating your own later on in class.
Brush up on two ways for adding large blocks of color: intarsia and Fair Isle. You'll find out how to use intarsia for color changes that don't affect the density of your work and fair isle when you want colors to switch back and forth.
Anne shares tips for sewing on color with duplicate stitch and simple types of embroidery. You'll see how these methods add vibrancy and texture, and even help you fix small mistakes.
Before you can start knitting unique colorwork combinations, you'll need to have a design in mind. Anne will help bring your ideas to life with tips to organize your motifs based on technique.
After choosing your design, you'll make sure it can be created using the yarn and gauge you want. You'll see Anne's process for charting her motifs and adding in texture.
To wrap up class, you'll see two projects you can create to show off your new colorwork combinations: a customizable holiday stocking and a festive bunting. And, both can be made using your practice swatches!
