Anne Heap teaches you how to make sugar paste figures that are too adorable for words. Learn how to color, structure and form gum paste into a sleeping baby, a sitting boy, a sitting pregnant lady and a standing woman. These characters are so cute you could almost eat them up! Adorn your cakes with these colorful figurines and apply the techniques learned in class to model an endless variety of cute characters. Start with the basics of working with gum paste, and learn how to use gel colors to produce realistic skin tones. Then sculpt your toppers and dress them with fashionable gum paste outfits that you create, no sewing machine required! Support your figures with skewers and wire to place them in a wide variety of positions. Your toppers will take the cake!
