A truly fundamental stitch, ladder stitch is commonly used as the base for other stitches, such as brick and herringbone.
Flat herringbone stitch is also called "ndebele" and is great for beads of different shapes and sizes.
Hubble stitch is a fairly new stitch developed by Melanie de Miguel.
Chevron stitch looks like triangles stacked on top of one another. You'll need to create two or three triangles before you start to see your pattern.
Chenille stitch is very symmetrical, so keeping an even tension is key when working it.
Tammy displays many of the wonderful finishing options available. Let these options for clasps, loops, and edges inspire you to create your own design
Tammy reviews tips and tricks for working with these fundamental stitches. She'll discuss adding more thread and testing color swatches.
Use your newfound skill on any of the five projects in this workshop. A handy PDF has diagrams for each stitch to help you.
