Mary Maher discovered her flair for cake during childhood and, along with her sister Brenda, began decorating professionally at age 15. Together, the pair have won episodes of Food Network Challenge and the "Best Cake Artist in America" competition on Last Cake Standing. After losing their cake shop to a fire in March 2010, Mary and Brenda started TheCakeGirls.com, an online cake decorating and party shop. Mary's love for both teaching and cake decorating shine through in her fun, easy-to-follow lessons.
