Your Instructors
Suzy Williams, aka Suzy Quilts, has a deep love for the heritage and tradition of quilting, as well as a desire to craft unique, contemporary textiles. With a BFA in visual communications, she uses her graphic design background to transform conventional quilting into fresh interpretations of minimal, modern design. Suzy is a proud Bernina Ambassador and member of the Modern Quilt Guild. Her quilts have been featured in Modern Patchwork, QuiltCon Magazine, Love Patchwork & Quilting and Modern Quilts Unlimited, and exhibited at QuiltCon, the largest modern quilting show of its kind.
Christina Cameli
Christina Cameli is a quilt designer and free-motion quilter with more than a decade of experience. She writes the quilting blog A Few Scraps and contributes to numerous publications, including Stitch, Quilts & More, Quilty and The Quilt Life. She’s the author of “First Steps to Free-Motion Quilting,” “Step-by-Step Free-Motion Quilting,” “Step-by-Step Texture Quilting” and more. Christina was also featured on the PBS TV series “Fresh Quilting.”
Mister Domestic
Mathew Boudreaux, aka Mister Domestic, is a quilter, sewer and fabric designer who spreads joy and positivity through fabric play. He encourages makers of all levels to dive right into their ideas without overthinking for an exciting and fulfilling creative journey.
Kate Colleran
Kate Colleran has been making quilts since 1978, and in 2003, she launched Seams Like a Dream Quilt Designs with Elizabeth Balderrama. Together, they design quilt and tote bag patterns, a great way to put all of those fabric purchases to work! Their designs have been featured in McCall’s “Quilting and Quick Quilts,” and in “Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks.” Kate’s love of quilting and fondness for fabric shine through her lessons, and she looks forward to helping students become their own quilt designers.
