Composition & Perspective (20:17)
Meet Kathleen Moore, your guide to creating compelling skyscapes in acrylic or oil. Kathleen introduces the critical concepts of composition and perspective and shares tricks for creating strong reference photos. A quick thumbnail sketch helps you plan your painting before transferring details to the canvas.

Painting the Sky: Color & Value (19:43)
Why is the sky blue? Kathleen explains with a quick lesson on the properties of light and color, and helps you prepare your canvas before painting. Begin laying down pigment in gradated base layers, then transfer the details of your initial drawing from Lesson 1 using white chalk or soft pastel.

Different Kinds of Clouds (25:54)
Go cloud-gazing with Kathleen to learn about types of clouds and how their appearance varies from the horizon to the heavens. Kathleen Moore has earned a living as both a graphic artist and an architectural drafter, but her true passion is for teaching art! Kathleen received her BA in art from West Texas A&M University, where she worked as an art conservation technician while in college. She later studied painting at Bruchion School in Los Angeles, CA and Gage Academy of Art in Seattle, WA — where she’s now a teaching artist. Kathleen has also taught art to kids of all ages, from kindergartners to high schoolers.

How will I receive my DVD class?

What is your return policy?
We want to be sure you’re satisfied. If you have trouble playing your DVD, if the content is not correctly presented on the DVD, or you are dissatisfied with the content of your class, we will work with you. Contact Craftsy Customer Service via email or phone. Upon your request, and upon your return of the DVD to us, we will refund your purchase price or send you another DVD to replace a damaged or incorrect DVD, whichever is your preference.
