Colored Pencil Meets Watercolor (26:16)
Take the guesswork out of combining colored pencils and watercolors by learning to make and use a color predictor. Then start on your first mini-project: painting and coloring yellow candy-covered chocolates by applying watercolor over your colored pencil layers.
More Approaches to Combining Colored Pencil & Watercolor (22:58)
Janie shares two more techniques: You’ll see how to apply colored pencil on top of watercolor and you’ll learn an integrated method for applying both mediums somewhat simultaneously. Practice these skills in two more mini-projects featuring fruit.
Landscape Project Part 1 (22:02)
Put your skills to work as Janie introduces your big project: a highly textural landscape with vibrant colors, depth and water reflections. You’ll start by adding watercolor washes for all elements, followed by foliage, leaf and grass textures. Next, you’ll learn to create a feeling of space and strong composition in your landscapes.
Landscape Project Part 2 (19:41)
Picking up where you left off in your landscape project, you’ll work on three more steps: developing warmer tones, adding the sky and filling in reflections on the water.
Landscape Project Part 3 (19:36)
You’ll put the finishing touches on your landscape by building colors and tones, refining shapes and finally adding a wash over the water.

Her work has been published in more than 10 books. including The Best of Colored Pencil, and she has taught students in public school, workshops and online classes throughout the United States.

Any downloadable class PDF materials are not included on the DVD, so you will not have access to those materials. While the video instruction on your DVD is complete, you must have streaming access to download the PDF materials associated with the class. Do I have to purchase a Craftsy Membership to get my class?
No, you do not. Every DVD-only class purchased on Craftsy.com includes the physical DVD in the mail. The physical disc(s) are yours to keep forever, with or without a Craftsy membership.

Yes, we do ship most physical products, including DVDs, to several International destinations. Do your DVDs work on international players?
Yes, our DVDs should be compatible with any DVD player in use today. All our videos have been created with all current Region Codes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8). If you have trouble viewing a DVD purchased from Craftsy.com, please contact Customer Service.
What is your return policy?
We want to be sure you’re satisfied. If you have trouble playing your DVD, if the content is not correctly presented on the DVD, or you are dissatisfied with the content of your class, we will work with you. Contact Craftsy Customer Service via email or phone. Upon your request, and upon your return of the DVD to us, we will refund your purchase price or send you another DVD to replace a damaged or incorrect DVD, whichever is your preference.
