Meet Tanis and start by choosing your fiber colors, then gather your needles and get familiar with the pattern.
Working in the Round (11:17)
Learn a provisional cast-on technique, then begin knitting in the round to start your ornaments. Plus, Tanis reveals her preferred method for working small circumferences: with double-pointed needles.
Now, it’s time to tackle colorwork. Find out how to carry two colors at once, float your yarn with confidence and work from a chart. Your ornaments will really start to shine!
You’re almost done! Here, Tanis helps you take out the provisional cast-on and finish shaping the top and bottom of your ornaments, then stuff them.
Complete your ornaments by adding some finishing touches. Discover how to create a loop and prepare the ornaments to hang proudly on the tree.
