When it comes to handmade jewelry, we think Bluprint instructor, Aga Kruk, has some of the best designs around. That’s why we wanted to sit down with her and ask her some questions to learn more about her as both a designer and teacher.
Aga has designed a lot of jewelry already, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit; she’s more productive than ever. Here’s what she has to say about keeping at your craft:
I — as many of my students — love to create jewelry, design new pieces, and share them with others. I think all of us should remember: never lose faith in yourself, and never give up hope if you have a dream. There will be days when you question yourself, your ability, and whether you have the strength to see it through, but you just need to remain positive and believe in yourself that you can make it happen.
She had a lot of nice things to say about Bluprint, and gave us some insight about what makes teaching at Bluprint even better than some in-person classes:
My favorite part of teaching the “Wire-Wrapped Stones, Crystals and Clusters” class is my interaction with students. Knowing that Bluprint and I could put out what I consider to be good, solid techniques in an easily followed format makes me feel very happy. I also wanted to reach more students than I ever could in the past. Now I can! And all those people who take classes with me finally have a video at home, which they can use as a reference as they create their own jewelry. After all, the Bluprint platform allows the students to watch the video anytime and anywhere. They can take notes, ask questions, and post their projects. It even lets them connect with other crafters from any place in the world! I just think it’s amazing.
Lastly, I asked her what new and exciting things were on the horizon. Like any superstar designer, she won’t tell all, but she did give us this update:
I have a few ideas. For now, I am working on expanding my range of tutorial and jewelry kits. Also, I’m very excited about my new product: texture wire, perfect to use in many jewelry projects. Here you can find more info about it, as well as a free tutorial.

Aga Kruk has been a successful professional jewelry designer and maker for more than five years. As her business grew, she posted some of her projects here on Bluprint. Members quickly took notice and “hearted” them, making her one of our most popular members. Her patterns became highly sought after, and so have the in-person classes she teaches in an Arlington, Virginia-area bead store.
