Make a Blanket That Brings Joy to a Child in Need: #Crafting4ACause

Crafting4acauseFor children in need, the holiday season can be a reminder of their hardships. That’s where Project Linus comes in — providing comfort to kids through handmade blankets donated by caring crafters like you! Whether you quilt, sew, knit or crochet, you can create a blanket that makes a child’s day and keeps them warm for years to come.

The challenge

With our Bluprint community standing 9 million strong, we know we can make a big impact for kids in need this holiday season. Together, how many blankets can we make before Christmas? Every stitch counts!

How do I participate?

1. Simply create one or more blankets using new, washable fabric and the craft of your choice (blankets must be free of smoke and other contaminants such as mold, mildew and pet hair). Project Linus accepts blankets as small as 36″ x 36″ and as large as twin size. To help you get started, you’ll find discounts on yarn and fabric as well as some free patterns on these quilting, sewing, knitting and crochet pages!

2. Share your blanket in Bluprint’s project gallery with #Crafting4ACause in the title and on social media using #Crafting4ACause. Even if your project is in progress, we’d love to see it!

3. Drop your blanket off at your local Linus Project donation site (use the map here), or mail it to Bluprint and we’ll donate it for you:
