Desperately seeking stellar new subjects for art projects? Want to create something new, but need inspiration? Reconnect with your muse with Art Spark!
Each week, we’ll share a different prompt to inspire you to think creatively and paint, draw or create a new piece of art.
This week’s prompt: Into the Woods
How you interpret the prompt is ultimately up to you, but here are some ideas to spark your imagination.
Channel your inner naturalist
Release your inner aAudubon by painting or drawing realistic versions of the animals you might encounter in the woods. This lovely blue jay was captured in watercolor and inspired by Bluprint course Drawing Birds in Brush & Ink.
Draw a tree
What make up the woods? Trees! Drawing or painting a tree, or an entire forest full of them, can be a meditative way to create art and can also help improve your artistic skills. You could take a realistic approach, or draw simplified, easy cartoon trees.
…or draw on a tree!
Your creation doesn’t need to be drawn using traditional media. Perhaps you’ll choose to interpret this prompt creatively, by making a wood-burning drawing or creating a multimedia painting including real natural elements.
