Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Machine Sewing
  • Hand Sewing

Pattern Description:

A lovey blanket which could be a zebra, horse or unicorn, depending on the fabric you choose and whether you add a horn.

Pattern file contains seven pages of instructions, fully illustrated with clear pictures. Pattern pieces include seam allowances.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Blanket measures 17x17


  • 1/2 yard of fleece, minky, or plush fabric for the head and main part of the lovey blanket.
  • Fat quarter or 1/2 yard of satin, quilters cotton or knit for the underside or lining of the blanket.
  • Scrap (about 5" x 5") or 1/8 yard of contrasting flannel or fleece for the inside of the ears (and unicorn horn, if making a unicorn).
  • Scrap (about 4" x 4") of felt or fleece for mane.
  • Scraps of white and black felt for eyes and pupils.
  • Stuffing - I used polyester fiberfill.
  • Matching thread.

You Will Also Need:

  • Sewing machine, scissors, hand sewing needle, etc.
