These precious wash cloth hand puppets are very easy to make. Instructions are given to make five animals - a giraffe, zebra, hippo, puppy and frog. They can be used for play-time or with soap and water in the bath tub to make washing more fun!
Inexpensive terry wash cloths are needed to make the puppets. All the sample puppets were made from a pack that was purchased at WalMart for under $4. You will also need buttons and thread. If you prefer not to use buttons, you can make yo-yos from bits of leftover terry cloth (instructions are included for making yo-yos). Puppets will fit children or women (you will need to cut wider rectangles for body and mouth to make puppets to fit men).
This PDF e-pattern includes measurements for body/mouth rectangles, full size patterns for animal ears/eyes, and giraffe/frog spots; a materials list; detailed instructions written in English; and clear step-by-step photos.
