Pattern Description:

Make your own adorable Sock Owl Mobile with this pattern.

The pattern comes as a PDF (digital file) format and includes complete instructions, diagrams and material list.

Patterns are very easy to follow for experienced crafters and beginners alike, taking you step-by-step through making each little owl and assembling them all onto the mobile. This project can be done completely with hand sewing or with a combination of machine sewing and some hand stitching.

You can also make single owls of any size with this pattern, simply use a bigger sock to make a bigger owl - wing and eye pattern pieces are included from baby to adult size socks.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Each owl measures about 12-15cm high (approx 5").


  • Four socks {baby size 6-18mths}
  • Felt for wings and eyes {approx 10 x 12"}
  • Fabric for wings {approx 12 x 8"}
  • One skein embroidery thread {perle 5}
  • Two 30cm twigs or dowel
  • Toy stuffing
