Rain Dancer the Stick Horse

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • use a sewing machine and glue gun

Pattern Description:

I have been making stick horses most of my adult life. Rain Dancer was a real horse, born early one April morning in the misty, drizzling rain. As I watched her dance about on her long spindly legs, the name just came to me. She grew to be a beautiful mare, but sadly we lost her to colic after a very long night in the barn with the vet and many tears. I will never forget Rain Dancer.
Stick horses appeal to kids and adults alike. They make great prizes at school carnivals and fall festivals. They make great gifts and birthday party favors. Have a Stick Horse Rodeo, they are tons of fun.
My friend's grandson loved his, and as they drove down the highway he asked her if she thought the people in the other cars could see that they had a REAL pony in their car.
Make believe and pretend are childhood memory makers.
Make my farm animals for your little ones to love and make memories with. My Rodeo/Farm Series includes the stick horse, bull, donkey, sheep and pig.
