Pattern Description:
Pepper is one cool penguin! He's soft and cuddly and so cute in his wintry scarf and a hat. But Pepper is really an extra special stuffed animal. Why? Because he can be either sewn or crocheted! That's right, the pattern for Pepper the Penguin is a 2-in-1 sewing and crochet pattern!
You'll get easy-to-follow instructions and step-by-step photos to make both a sewn version of Pepper AND a crocheted version! Both patterns include Pepper's accessories so that you can mix and match! How about sewing a hat for your crocheted penguin? Or crocheting a scarf for your sewn penguin? Making Pepper is full of creative possibilities and is so much fun!
Pepper the Penguin is collaborative pattern. The crochet version was designed by Stacey Trock (https://www.etsy.com/shop/FreshStitches) and the sewn version was designed by Abby Glassenberg (http://www.whileshenaps.etsy.com).
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- both the sewn and crocheted version are 10 inches tall
Materials:
- For the sewn version you'll need 1/4 cuts of fleece in orange, blue, white and black
- For the crocheted version you'll need MC- Black (Ella Rae Classic Wool, color # 32), 75 yards CC- White (Ella Rae Classic Wool, color # 01), 50 yards AC- Orange (Ella Rae Classic Wool, color # 70), 40 yards To complete the hat & scarf, you'll need: C1- Orange (Ella Rae Classic Wool, color # 70), 30 yards C2- Aqua (Spud & Chloe Sweater, color Splash), 30 yards
You Will Also Need:
- wool felt scraps in black and white for the eye
- embroidery floss in white for the eye highlight
- polyfill stuffing
- size H (5.0mm) crochet hook for the crocheted version
- tapestry needle for the crocheted version
- coordinating thread for the sewn version
