The monkey blankie is very easy to make. You can attach the monkey head to any size blanket that you would like, including a purchased blanket.

Flannel fabric was used for the sample blankie. You can also use cotton or fleece fabric.

The face details are embroidered so they are completely safe for babies. Toddlers will love them too! The blankie will wash and wear well. The monkey can be made in pink or blue fabrics for a boy or girl.

Materials:

Flannel or cotton solid fabric (or fleece for a heavier blankie) - 1/2 yard for head and blanket front, 1/2 yard for face, ears and blanket back
Iron-on fusible web - 4" x 5 1/2" rectangle for face
Polyester fiberfill stuffing
Sewing thread - embroidery floss
