Pattern Description:

Luke and Lily are soft, cuddly ducks. They're ready to attend your next tea party or snuggle up for a bedtime story. Luke is dapper in his necktie and Lily looks so pretty with her big bow. This pair is fun and easy to sew, too!

This sewing pattern guides you through making Luke and Lily Duck with step-by-step photos and easy to understand instructions. If you've sewn a few projects before you'll be able to sew these ducks. The pattern templates are full-sized and ready for you to print at home and the instructions are straightforward. The finished ducks are is 10" tall.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished duck is 10 inches tall x 5 inches wide.

Materials:

  • 1/2 yard of white minky or fleece
  • 1/4 yard of yellow minky or fleece
  • 1/4 yard of blue polka dotted quilting cotton for the necktie OR a scrap of pink striped quilting cotton for the bow
  • coordinating thread
  • fiberfill stuffing
  • scraps of black and white felt for the eyes
  • white embroidery floss for the highlights on the eyes
  • optional: poly pellets, the foot of an old pair of pantyhose, pin back or safety pin

You Will Also Need:

  • hand sewing needle
  • embroidery needle
  • stuffing tool such as a chopstick or hemostats
  • scissors for fabric
  • pins
  • chalk or a disappearing fabric marker
  • optional: craft knife for cutting slits in the fabric and craft glue for the eyes
