My name is Karen and I teach kids to sew. My in-home sewing school is a busy one filled with adorable children of all ages and abilitites. One never tires of the smiles and joy experienced when a student finishes a project they sewed on their own. Such a rewarding job!
One challenge I face is finding patterns written in lingo kids can follow. So, I developed Little Stitchers' Pattern Co. to solve our problem. When I'm not teaching, I'm designing and writing patterns we can use in class. They are loaded with color photographs, detailed step-by-step instructions and pattern pieces. Each pattern is kid-tested and stamp approved.
Thanks for continuing to read this & hope you enjoy our patterns!
The owl craze is alive & bustling! At our sewing school we have been sewing owls for several years now. We've got a whole family we sew but have never had our very own before now. Meet Little Stitch. Isn't she adorable? She fits right in with the others & we are happy she joined us! Can you guess why we named her Little Stitch?!
Our owl sewing pattern contains detailed sewing instructions suitable for use by seamstresses ages 6 and older. Written by a sewing teacher who specializes in teaching kids to sew, this pattern is great for a young beginner to use as well as grown-ups.
The great thing about Little Stitch is that she can be made with those scraps of fabric and felt you may already have on hand. The fabric combinations are endless and this is a great opportunity to let the creative juices flow as you design yours. She's also quick and easy to assemble. Most make Little Stitch in about an hour.
All our patterns are rated Easy, Pro and Daredevil. This pattern is rated "Pro" level because it does require the seamstress to have good cutting skills, be able to sew curved edges, respect a seam allowance and work with more than one pattern piece.
This pattern contains 12 color pages and is in pdf format. It has meticuous step-by-step instructions, pattern pieces and large colored photos containing directional arrows. It is written in sewing lingo anyone young or old can understand.
Finished dimensions is approximately 7.5" tall x 7" wide
