Basic Skills Necessary:

  • sew a straight stitch on your sewing machine
  • baste
  • sew two pieces right sides together
  • ladder stitch
  • embroider a backstitch
  • use safety eyes

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The finished doll is 20 inches tall.

Materials:

  • 1/4 yard cut of fleece in several different colors
  • lightweight fusible interfacing, 10" x 10" square
  • pair of 12mm safety eyes with washers
  • pink and brown embroidery floss
  • fiberfill stuffing, 8.5 ounces
  • coordinating all-purpose thread

You Will Also Need:

  • pins
  • scissors for cutting fabric
  • disappearing fabric marker or chalk
  • stuffing tool such as a chopstick or hemostats
  • embroidery needle
