Pattern Description:

Because who doesn't love penguins?

I was inspired to design these penguins a few years ago when I was making softies for an upcoming show and wanted something that would be holiday-themed without being exclusively confined to the holidays. I figured penguins would make cute plush that would make folks think of winter without spelling out any specific holiday.
And these penguins are such a hit with the wees, with their lovely tactile qualities and rounded contours. Littles love to grab 'em!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • approximately 6 1/2 inches tall
  • approximately 3 inches wide
  • approximately 3 1/2 inches deep


  • black, white, and gray felt (preferably wool felt) measuring approximately 8 x 10 each
  • 1 bag of material for stuffing - Polyfil is highly recommended
  • black or gray embroidery floss
  • buttons, beads, felt discs, or plastic safety eyes for the eyes

You Will Also Need:

  • black, white, or gray thread
  • pins - regular and long
