Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Machine Sewing: Straight Stitch; Zigzag Stitch and use of Overcasting Foot; use of Zipper Foot

Pattern Description:

"Now close your eyes and make a wish!" Eyes tightly closed the heart of a child forms the words that they dare not speak aloud "I ......... Wish for a Pony." Granting the wish in the form of a real live Horse or Pony may not be a practical idea but the gift of a Soft Toy Hobby Horse could make that "Wish" come true! Will you be the one to grant the Wish of a 'horse mad' youngster? Will you make a special toy for a special child using this "Wish for a Pony" PDF Sewing Pattern?

The PDF Pattern contains 12 pages of Full Sized Pattern pieces ready to print out and tape or paste together. With a choice of 1/4" or 5mm Seam Allowance cutting line this Pattern has International appeal. Photos and text form a comprehensive Step by Step (Banana by Banana) guide to making a very special Hobby Horse plus Removable Bridle (with several 'stitch detail' options).

Remember....One banana, two bananas, three bananas! More!!! Four bananas make a bunch and so do many more!!!!! Making a Soft Toy is like that....take it one step or 'banana' at a time and you will get a 'bunch' done!

You may be wondering what 'restrictions' apply to this pattern, well as far as I am concerned IF you as ONE individual person have the patience, creative energy, physical strength and passionate desire to make one or more Hobby Horses per week for an entire year (without resorting to mass production which would imply the involvement of more than one person) then 'go for it', you have my permission!

If you intend to sell any Hobby Horses direct to the public or to friends then I would be thrilled with (but don't insist on) your acknowledgment of "Just Bananas Over Soft Toys" as being the source of the pattern on any labels you may choose to attach. (Acknowledgment may be required anyway depending on your Local Regulations). If you are thinking about selling your Soft Toy Hobby Horse Online, please check the Online Site requirements as a label listing a direct link back to the PDF Pattern may be necessary. Don't forget the PDF (Pattern Pages, Photos & Text) are all protected by Copyright JB 2014. Also please appreciate the time and effort that went into creating this Pattern and treasure it as a valuable resource rather than changing it and claiming it as your own work. Thanks a 'Bunch'!
