Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Sew curves as well as straight lines

Pattern Description:

This pattern was inspired by the fabric from a little girl's dress that I stumbled across in a charity shop. I love the whole folk art scene and played around till this pattern emerged.

There are two birds in this pattern. One is shaped like a duck and one like a hen. I ended up making a whole family of them - hope you do too.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 14cm tall


  • 30 x 40cm main fabric
  • 20 x 15cm complimentary fabric
  • 1 1/2m embroidery thread (optional)
  • sew all thread
  • 2 buttons (optional)
  • 20g toy stuffing
  • small coin
  • sewing machine (optional)

  • pins
  • needles
  • scissors
