Pattern Description:

This adorable felt frog play set is easy to create! It's made entirely by hand, using simple sewing and embroidery stitches. The frogs have chenille stems in the arms and legs to make them poseable (they can be made without chenille stems). The only materials you will need are felt, polyester stuffing, chenille stems and thread.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Instructions are included to make the following: tall frog (9" x 9"), short frog (9" x 8 1/2"), lily pad (7" x 7 1/2"), large lily (4" x 4"), small lily (3.25" x 3.25") and dragonfly (3" x 3.25").


  • 9" x 12" Felt rectangles - two bright green, two lime green, two light green & one of each of the following: yellow, yellow-orange, pink, light pink, light yellow, bright blue, light blue, black, white (acrylic felt was used for samples)
  • Polyester fiberfill stuffing
  • Chenille stems - two 5 1/2" pieces & two 6" pieces (color doesn't matter because they won't be seen)
  • Thread/ floss - white, black, bright green & blue embroidery floss for details & colors that match felt
  • Optional fabric glue (Beacon Fabri-Tac permanent adhesive was used for samples)
  • Optional fabric paint (or acrylic paint) - fuchsia or red

You Will Also Need:

  • Basic sewing supplies: sewing/embroidery needle, scissors, straight pins
