Pattern Description:

The elephant & pennant banners are simple to make and work up quickly. The bright and colorful felt shapes will make a fun addition to a child's room. The patterns can be reduced to make mini elephants and pennants that can be draped across a table for a baby shower - the mini elephants will also make adorable cupcake toppers. You can make a banner of marching elephants, or triangle pennants, or combine them. You can leave as much thread between the felt shapes as you want. The felt shapes are stitched and then cut around the stitching - it saves a lot of time and each shape will turn out exactly the same.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

The finished elephants are 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". The finished pennants are 4 1/4" x 5 1/4".

Materials:

Acrylic or wool felt - 9" x 12" rectangles (one 9" x 12" rectangle will make one elephant & one pennant)
Sewing thread - contrasting color (black was used for samples)
Heavy thread or embroidery floss & sewing needle with a large eye for stringing shapes together
