Pattern Description:
Make your own Button Up Stars and let those little fingers practising their buttoning skills and keep them handy in a gorgeous little tote bag, perfect for your own little person.
Buttoning skills are important for toddlers and this activity will make learning fun. The stars can be buttoned together in several different ways and you can bake different shapes depending how they are buttoned together
Easy to follow illustrated instructions and the pattern is included.

Materials:
- 2 of each colour: 20cm x 20cm felt squares in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, plus one extra for the front of the bag. 2 pieces 25cm x 25cm white felt for the bag. 4cm x 12cm coloured felt for the strap. 15 x 18mm buttons. Embroidery floss and coordinating thread.

Thesevtook a little longervthan I thought to make, but it was worth it - very cute, and I,m sure the grandchildren will enjoy their new toy as they're just starting to dress themselves!

My name is Jo and I go by the nickname jojoebi, that is jo-jo-ebi (eh-bee).
I have an educational background in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications but after graduating I decided to pack my bags and travel the world. Which I did, teaching English to pay my way.
After a two year stint in the wilderness of Northern Japan, a local boy stole my heart, and I was unable to leave the country ...

I have an educational background in Electronic Imaging and Media Communications but after graduating I decided to pack my bags and travel the world. Which I did, teaching English to pay my way.
After a two year stint in the wilderness of Northern Japan, a local boy stole my heart, and I was unable to leave the country without it so we settled down together in Saitama (just outside of Tokyo). A few years later, after a slightly crazy wedding ceremony at Angkor Wat (which involved 5 priests, 9 nuns, Khmer dancers and an elephant ride up a mountain) baby Ebi appeared (now known as Ebi-kun) and after hearing myself saying "I go to shopping" and other grammatically incorrect English sentences I decided it was time to give up the teaching game and return to my passion of designing.
When Ebi-kun was still a baby I became interested in the Montessori system of education and so many of the items I design and make are influenced by Montessori, along with my passion for travel and all things kawaii that make Japan such a wonderful place to live.
