Pattern Description:

This bunny is always the first project I have my students make when I teach a softie-making class. They're a great way to learn some basic softie techniques, and after you get one under your belt you'll have all the skills you need to start designing your own simple softies.

The finished bunny is 9 inches tall (16 inches if you count the floppy ears) and 6 1/2 inches wide across the bottom. My daughter says he's the perfect size for snuggling.

You'll receive a full-sized pattern and complete instructions with loads of step by step photos. The patterns has links to videos teaching you every skill you'll need to complete the project - from sewing curves to stuffing.

This bunny has no buttons or other removable parts, so he's a great gift for even very young babies. They love to stuff the satiny ears in their mouths!

Expect to take 4-5 hours to finish your bunny.

  • 1/3 yard main fabric
  • scraps for ear linings
  • scraps of felt for hands and feet
