Basic Skills Necessary:

  • sew straight and curved seams, whip stitch by hand

Pattern Description:

If you have favorite baby clothes your little one has outgrown (or just need an excuse to pick out a few super adorable baby outfits), this simple doll can wear them all. With just an hour or two of sewing, this "model baby" is a great way to show off baby mementos, and fun to play with too. Older children can even help with the sewing, while young children can assist with stuffing.

The patterns for this doll give options for sizes preemie through 12 months.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • fits baby clothes sizes preemie through 12 months


  • 3/4 yard of flesh-colored fabric; matching thread; fiberfill stuffing; one square of felt for hair (optional); felt scraps, non-toxic fabric markers, buttons, or embroidery floss for face

You Will Also Need:

  • iron; needle for hand sewing; sewing machine (optional, but recommended); scissors; tape (for body pattern)
