Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Use a sewing machine
  • Use a rotary cutter, ruler and mat

Pattern Description:

Everyone who sews, quilts, appliques' or engages in any form of needlework can use an organizer for their tools. This pattern is quick, easy and fun. Make them for yourself or as gifts. No one can have just one!

This project begins with four fat quarters. Each organizer features a zipper pocket, tool pockets, needle holders and pattern pocket. You can personalize the exterior with ribbons, laces and other trims.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 13 1/2" x 10" open; 6 3/4" x 10" closed


  • 4 fat quarters Cotton Fabric
  • 1/4 yard HeatnBond Fusible Quilt Batting
  • 6" square Felted Wool
  • 1/4 yard Pellon Shape-Flex Fusible Woven Interfacing (SF101)

You Will Also Need:

  • Sewing Machine with 1/4" foot
  • thread
  • iron
  • scissors and pinking shears
  • rotary cutter, ruler and mat
  • Frixion(tm) Heat-Removable Marker
  • 14" Plastic Zipper
  • 10" ribbon
