These booties are very soft and sweet! They keep their shape very well. Fabric is fused to wool felt, fleece, terry, twill or denim fabric. Felt does not have to be 100% wool. It can be a blend or you can use acrylic felt if wool felt is not available. If you use acrylic felt, place a press cloth between the iron and the felt. Terry, twill or denim can be used instead of felt or fleece to make them more lightweight for spring or summer. Edges of booties may fray slightly but it adds to the charm of the design.
Booties are very easy to make - even for beginners! A pair of booties will only take about thirty minutes to make (although the first pair will probably take a little longer). We're sure you'll want to make more than one pair. You can use denim, chenille, linen, cotton, etc. for the outside of the booties. You can use all types of 1/4" to 1/2" ribbon for ties, including grosgrain, satin, sheer, etc. Sample booties have wool felt on the inside, linen on the outside and they are tied with satin ribbon.
