Pattern Description:

Are you looking for a sewing pattern to make some great gifts for wedding parties, graduation, retirement, birthday, holiday gifts? Then here is a great pattern that has Pack and Go travel bags in three sizes. Don't think a man would not want one of these because they are great for the gym and travel. Just choose a fabric that is appropriate for the person receiving the bag and it will be a great hit! I created this set of bags to meet the needs of my child's sports gear, my cosmetics (because I love the shape of these bags), and for travel. I especially wanted a bag I could travel with folded up inside the larger bag and then fill up with souvenirs to bring home. I like that they are lightweight, collapsible, and strong. I hope they meet your needs as well.

The bags are fully lined, have zipper closures, designed for strength and low weight. The Medium and Large bags have webbing inside the cotton strap covers that create a beautiful strap and one that can handle what you want to put in it. The bottoms are flat and reinforced so they will stay flat and the wide opening makes it easy to get to every inch of space.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Small Pack and Go Bag: base is 7 1/4" x 4", 4 1/2" high (not counting the handles), handles are 10" long with 4 3/4" drop; Has one outside pocket. Medium Pack and Go Bag: base is 15 3/4" x 8 1/2", 9 1/2" high (not counting the handles), handles are 19 1/2" long with 9 1/2" drop; Has an outside pocket and an inside pocket. Large Pack and Go Bag: base is 24" x 15", 12 1/2" high (not counting the straps), Straps are 43 3/4" long with 21 1/2" drop; There are two large outside pockets and multiple inside pockets. You can carry the large bag a number of different ways due to the longer strap length.

I love to make things that I like to use, so I have a wide variety of patterns as a result of that. I have sewn for more years than I care to admit to...let's just say, for decades. I enjoy making patterns and sharing them with others. I try very hard to make them as easy to understand as I can. It is my hope that this is a way of helping others make things they like to use too.
