I liked the functionality of the cover stands available on Amazon, but I wanted mine to be made by me and in designer fabrics, so I spent hours (lots of them) to figure out how make a professional looking cover stand for my kindle fire. If you are like me, you will love this case.
This does not fit the new HD Kindle Fire. I will release a new pattern for that one. This pattern only fits the original Kindle Fire.
This cozy also functions as a stand for your Kindle Fire, so you can watch a movie, read, or play games on a table top, hands free.
Your Kindle Fire remains functional while in this clever cozy. There is an opening in the bottom for the charger and head phones to plug in. There are openings in the top for the speakers.
The screen cover folds back, you re-attach the velcro closure inside out, and voila, you have a stand!
This cover is not meant to protect against dropping the kindle fire. It just makes it soft and pretty to hold and the stand is greatly useful.
This listing is for the sewing pattern. The case is designed exclusively for the Kindle Fire. I will do more patterns sized for the ipad, nook, etc.

Like so many sewists I know, I have been sewing since the age of 6. I started at my mother's feet, fashioning her scraps into doll clothes. By age 16, I was spending Summers sewing my wardrobe for the coming school year. I was known as a creative dresser. I wrote my first sewing pattern in 2006 as part of applying for a patent.
