When I was a little girl, I said I wanted to grow up to be a mommy and an artist. I'd like to think that I am just that! I am the mother to three wonderful children ages. I studied art and art history, worked as a museum collections curator, and am now a SAHM who enjoys expressing my creative side through quilting, sewing and fabric printing. I find time for this "during quiet time."View all patterns by designer (63) »
This PDF pattern is called "Crabby." This paper pieced crab design was inspired by designer Laurie Wisbrun's fabric collection called Don't Be Crabby. Laurie graciously granted me permission to turn her image into a paper pieced pattern. Of course this crab can be combined with prints from her collection in so many different projects.
The finished block measures 10" x 8".
This is an intermediate ability pattern with many pieces and some precise seam matching but no Y seams or curves. Button eyes are the perfect final touch!
