A festive and homey table decoration for the holiday season! Requires minimal sewing skills, and incorporates felted wool and those fun yo-yos! Pattern only, including complete instructions and diagrams and materials list. Designed and copyrighted by Elizabeth Coughlin. Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished table mat measures 16" in width and height.


  • Two 11" square pieces green felted wool.
  • Felted wool in various shades of red. Mix in some woven or plaid wools for texture and interest. You'll need the equivalent of three (3) fat eighths (16" x 13" each).
  • One fat quarter (18" x 21"), or 1/4 yard, dark gold plaid cotton homespun, or other gold-toned fabric.
  • Embroidery floss in green to match your backing wool, and in red to match your leaves.

You Will Also Need:

  • Brown quilting thread, freezer paper, iron, straight pins, sewing needles, scissors, sewing machine.
  • Clover Needlecraft Large Quick Yo-Yo Maker (Orange).
