Pattern Description:

This is a fantastic introductory pattern for English paper piecing. Pattern includes step-by-step directions and diagrams for basting and assembling the flowers. I've included a template page for you to photocopy to make your own basting papers, or you can order a set to make 2 of each wildflower from paperpieces.com (Ask for Texas Wildflower Mix Set 2 shapes.)

These are three-dimensional flowers, but the pattern also includes tips for appliqueing them onto garments and ideas for other uses.

Materials:

White fabric 1.5 inches by 13.5 inches
Yellow fabric- 1 inch by 2 inch strip AND 1.5 inch by 28 inch strip
Red fabric 4.5 inches square
Brown fabric- 2.5 inches square AND 1 inch by two inch strip
Red fabric- 5 strips in different shades, one red and white, 1.5 inch by 6.75 inch each
Green fabric- four shades, .5 by 12 inch strip of each
Green training wire- 22 gauge
Buttons: .5 inch brown, .5 inch yellow, 1 inch red
White cardstock paper
Pink or lavendar fabric 1.5 by 24 inch strip

Hand sewing needle
