About 15 years ago I was given a free pattern for a tissue box cover.
I made it and I loved the look of it but there were at LEAST five things I wanted to change.
I wanted it lined so I couldn't see the tissue box labeling through light fabrics.
I wanted the ties attached.
I wanted them made with matching fabric.
I wanted a more professional and elegant look, such as top stitching.
I wanted it reversible so I didn't have to make a ton of them to change with the seasons or holidays.
I toyed with the idea of designing my own but other quilts and designs took priority. And then I was organizing a quilt retreat and needed a project to demo. So I pulled the idea out again and here we are.
We all know that the first time you make something, it takes longer than usual. My retreaters were able to finish their first cover in 30-45 minutes and that was with cutting and pressing included!
Makes a great Christmas or hostess gift!
PDF Pattern can be downloaded from Craftsy upon payment.

As my husband would say, my cup is overflowing and I am not always able to send out thank you notes to each and every one of you. I want you to know that you are appreciated more than you could possibly believe. I am blessed in so many ways and you are one of them. Piecin' Love! My name is Terri and I live in Wisconsin with Mark, my husband of 26 years and our spoiled rotten beagle, Tucker.
I grew up in Alabama and joined the Air Force the year after I graduated high school. I met Mark in 1985 while in the Air Force and stationed in Japan. We moved to his home turf of Wisconsin in 1990 and it was here that I learned to quilt.
We have 2 children, ages 26 and 23, and we are the proud grandparents of Kilee Reese and Layla Faith, the two most adorable grand-girls on the planet.
I've been crafting and sewing since I was a little girl spending my summers in Mississippi at my grandparents' farm.
After moving to Wisconsin and taking several years to adjust my southern sensibilities, I learned how to quilt in 1999 and then opened my long-arm quilting business in 2004. I also worked for three years in a local quilt shop and it was there that I fell in love with teaching and pattern designing.
Due to health reasons, I am taking a break from long-arm quilting for clients. I currently teach quilting classes at our local technical college and, when I am not teaching, I design patterns and make class and pattern samples at home. Sometimes my patterns are borne from a class request, sometimes from a spark of inspiration, always from a love of quilting and a desire to share it.
Thank you for visiting my pattern store. May God bless you beyond your expectations.
