These pillows have a hidden,quilted & lined pocket in their centres; perfect for holding a storybook, teddy, secret notes & more...

This pattern makes for a great scrappy project. The 'petals' & 'wedges' can also be cut from 5" charm squares.

It's an ideal project to make with quilting weight cottons but why stop there?! Play around with textures to add to the interactive nature of this little cushion & use linens or blends, corduroys,double gauze, home dec & voiles.

Have fun with fussy cutting or a theme & let the petals tell a story :)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

20" x 20"

Materials:

Wedges/Petals: 16 assorted small scraps or charm squares
Fabric for pillow front, back, pocket, binding & linings
Batting for pocket & pillow construction

You Will Also Need:

Ribbon for tag (optional)
embroidery floss or Perle thread for hand quilting (optional)
20" square pillow form
General supplies : Scissors, Rotary cutter, cutting mat & ruler, Sewing machine with walking foot attachment, Thread, Turning tool, Template plastic, Soluble/erasable fabric marking pen, Permanent pen to mark template plastic, Sticky tape to join template printouts, Iron,Needle for hand sewing (optional)
